The original Development Application (DA) for 342 lots at Mount Lofty was lodged in May 2018. In line with the announcement on 21 February 2020, DHA considered alternative options and consequently lodged a new DA with the Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) for a 50 lot development on a small portion of the former rifle range site at Mount Lofty. The new DA was recommended for approval by council officers. However, at a special meeting of council on 16 September 2020, councillors voted against approving the new DA. DHA subsequently lodged an appeal against the decision, which has now been withdrawn. DHA continues to work closely with council regarding plans for the future of the site.
